Al-Fao General Engineering Company Nears Completion Of Development Work In Neighborhood (812) In Al-Dora
The Director General of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, Engineer Ya'rub Qahtan Al-Awad, announced that the rehabilitation and development work in Neighborhood (812) in the Al-Dora Agricultural District of Baghdad has reached its final stages. Al-Awad emphasized that the project, implemented for the benefit of the Service and Engineering Effort Team, aims to improve services in areas that have long suffered from inadequate infrastructure.
🔰 Infrastructure Upgrades And Address Informal Settlements
The Director General explained that the technical and engineering teams successfully replaced the old, haphazard water networks, constructed by residents through their own efforts, with a modern, (5,000) meter-long drinking water pipeline. The ongoing work also includes:
🟢 Cladding the streets and alleys with “Enter Look” with a total area of (28,000) square meters.
🟢 Removing worn-out asphalt layers and repaving the streets according to approved technical specifications.
🔰 Funding Challenges And Determination To Implement
Al-Awad revealed that the actual completion rate has reached (90%), emphasizing that the company is committed to completing the remaining work despite challenges related to limited funding and some on-site obstacles. He indicated that this determination stems from the government program aimed at providing the best services to underserved areas.
