Chaired By Al-Awad, The Board Of Directors Of Al-Fao General Engineering Company Reviews Its Achievements And Discusses The Solar Energy Transition Plan
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, Engineer Ya'rub Qahtan Al-Awad, chaired the fifth meeting of the Board on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, to follow up on the implementation performance of projects and discuss the company's institutional files (which are affiliated with the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities).
The meeting began with the approval of the minutes of the previous meeting and a review of the decisions made. This was followed by a comprehensive review of several strategic areas, which are as follows:
1) Implementation Status: The company is currently committed to implementing (64) ongoing projects across various sectors.
2) Completed Projects: The completion of the sports hall project in the Oil District was announced this month, bringing the total number of completed projects since the beginning of 2026 to (7).
3) Sustainable Energy: The Board discussed a practical plan to rely on a solar energy system to power the company's headquarters, in support of national trends in adopting renewable energy.
4) Field Follow-Up: The results of the field inspection visits conducted by the General Manager, his deputy, and senior staff were evaluated to ensure the smooth flow of work at the project sites.
5) Internal Files: The company's administrative, financial, audit, and legal reports were reviewed, and appropriate procedures were approved to improve the work environment.
