General Manager of Al-Fao General Engineering Company: The Company's engineering and technical staff have completed work on the Jdeidet Al-Shatt water project in Diyala Governorate

Engineer Ammar Abdel-Razzaq Issa Al-Jubouri,Director General of the Al-Fao General Engineering Company, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, stated that the engineering and technical staff of the company have completed work on the Jdeidet Al-Shatt water project in Diyala Governorate, which the company is implementing for the benefit of the General Directorate of Water. He stressed that His Excellency the Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, Mr. Benkin Rikani, pays great attention to water projects because they are involved in providing drinking water to citizens.The Director General explained that the production capacity of the project amounts to (2000) cubic meters / hour and feeds the project New district Shatt and surrounding villages.

His Excellency explained that this project includes the supply, installation, operation and maintenance of project equipment (mechanical and electrical equipment) in addition to civil works (service buildings, equipment buildings, chlorine and alum basins, purification and sterilization) as well as extending a network of water pipes with a length of (33) km for the areas specified in the project.

The Director General stated that the current works are:

1) Arming the low pumping station.

2) Casting the outer walls of sedimentation basin No.(1).

3) Burial in the soil of some financial institutions.

4) Dropping the energy building and arming the foundations in it.

5) Landing the chemicals building to start it.

On the other hand, he mentioned that the company is currently implementing the Al-Baghdadi water project in Al-Anbar Governorate and the Dujail Water Project in Salah Al-Din Governorate.
