Mr. Director General: We Are Working In The Final Stages Of Completing The Main Al-Khader Bridge Project In Al-Muthanna Governorate

Engineer Imad Tawfiq Al Mirza, General Manager of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, stated that the company’s engineering and technical staff are continuing the final work on the main concrete Al-Khader Bridge project in Al-Muthanna Governorate, which the company is implementing for the Ministry of Roads and Bridges Department.

His Lordship stated that the current works are:

- Completing the cladding (paving) of the base layer and the connecting layer of the approaches.

- Pouring piers for the bridge.

- Erecting and installing the side facades of the bridge.

He pointed out that the work is progressing at a rapid pace, day and night, in order to complete it within the specified times and in accordance with the required specifications, due to the governorate’s dire need for this bridge, as it is the main bridge in Al-Khader District, which connects both sides of the city.

The Director General stated that the bridge consists of five spaces within the river (three of them concrete and two steel spaces) and the current completion rate is (94%).
