Mr. Director General: AL-FAO Continues To Develop Oil Infrastructure (Baiji Tank As A Model Of Excellence)

Engineer Ya'rab Qahtan Al-Awad, Director General of Al-Fao General Engineering Company – an affiliate of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities – stated that the company's engineering and technical staff have completed the gasoline storage tank project at the Salah Al-Din Refinery in Baiji.

Project Details:

- A floating-roof tank with a capacity of (26,000) cubic meters was designed, manufactured, installed, tested, and commissioned. It is equipped with all necessary accessories and systems, including:

                    • A cathodic protection system.

                    • A self-extinguishing system.

                    • A cooling system.

- This tank is the first of its kind implemented by the company at this size. It was completed in less than six months and is used for storing gasoline.

Project Significance:

This project represents a significant step towards enhancing storage efficiency and improving safety systems, in line with the Ministry of Oil's directives aimed at developing infrastructure and strengthening the readiness of refining facilities.

Previous Achievements:

The company previously completed five tanks of varying sizes at the Al-Sumoud Refinery in Baiji.

Conclusion:

The Director General expressed his gratitude to all employees for their tremendous efforts, noting that the project was completed ahead of schedule and in accordance with international standards and specifications.
