Al-Fao General Engineering Company Holds Workshop On The National Policy For Data Security And Sharing
In line with ongoing efforts to develop administrative and technical capabilities and strengthen information systems, the Planning and Follow-up Department at Al-Fao General Engineering Company (a division of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities), in coordination with the Training and Development Center at the Ministry's headquarters, organized a specialized workshop entitled "The National Policy For Data Security And Sharing".
The workshop aimed to provide a comprehensive strategic vision for mechanisms to securely handle information flow within the government work environment. It addressed the following key themes:
1) Contents Of The National Document: Reviewing the dimensions of the adopted policy and its implementation parameters.
2) Implementation Mechanisms: Clarifying the practical steps for implementing the policy within administrative units.
3) Data Management And Classification: Supporting a methodology for accurately organizing and classifying government data.
4) Risk Protection: Developing proactive strategies to ensure information security and prevent breaches or leaks.
5) Security Awareness: Raising awareness among government personnel regarding secure daily handling methods for sensitive information.
The workshop, which was led by Senior Chief Engineer (Samir Jihad Ali), witnessed active participation from the company’s staff, the Ministry headquarters and its formations, reflecting the government construction sector’s commitment to applying the highest standards of digital governance and cybersecurity.
