At A Cost Of (62) Billion Dinars, Engineer Ya'rub Al-Awad Confirms The Accelerated Pace Of Work On The Balad Water Project
Engineer Ya'rub Qahtan Al-Awad, Director General of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, confirmed the continuation of work on the supplementary works for the Balad Water Project in Salah Al-Din Governorate. He explained that the project, which is being implemented for the General Directorate of Water, is progressing at an accelerated pace to adhere to the established timeline.
❇️ Field Implementation Developments:
Al-Awad indicated that the engineering teams have begun pouring the roof of the underground reservoir, concurrently with the formwork work at the high-pressure pumping station and the filter building. The current phase also includes treating the sedimentation basins and completing the finishing work on the residential buildings attached to the project and the administration building.
❇️ Strategic Importance Of The Project:
• Production Capacity: The project's design capacity is (4,000) cubic meters per hour, ensuring the provision of potable water to Balad District and the surrounding areas.
• Cost And Duration: The project has a total budget of approximately (62) billion Iraqi dinars, with a completion period of (720) days.
The Director General concluded his statement by emphasizing the commitment of Al-Fao General Engineering Company (a subsidiary of the Ministry of Construction and Housing) to adopting the latest international standards in its implementation, ensuring the project's sustainability and enhancing the efficiency of the province's infrastructure.
