The Assyrian Library Project In Nineveh: A Scientific And Cultural Monument
Engineer Ya'rab Qahtan Al-Awad, General Manager of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, a division of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities, stated that the company is continuing work on the project to rehabilitate and furnish the Ashurbanipal Library and the Institute of Cuneiform Studies in Nineveh Governorate, which is one of the most important cultural and scientific projects in the region.
The project covers an area of (67,000) square meters and includes three main buildings:
❇️ Library Building: A six-story building of knowledge and culture, comprising exhibition halls, laboratories, and research rooms, embodying the Assyrian era in all its splendor.
❇️ Central Building: The beating heart of the project, containing a cafeteria, a large theater, a reading room, mosques, and professors' rooms, reflecting the Islamic era with all its grandeur.
❇️ Institute Of Cuneiform Studies Building: A stronghold of science and knowledge, containing classrooms, amphitheaters, and professors' rooms, embodying the modern era with all its sophistication.
Two pedestrian bridges connect the buildings, representing the transition from one era to the next and adding a wonderful aesthetic touch to the project.

The General Manager confirmed that the company will harness all its capabilities to create this scientific and cultural edifice with modern specifications that reflect the cultural dimension of the ancient Nineveh Governorate .
