Director General Of Al-Fao General Engineering Company: Completion Of The First Phase Of Al-Furat General Hospital Rehabilitation Enhances Baghdad's Healthcare Infrastructure
Engineer Ya'rub Qahtan Al-Awad, Director General of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, announced the completion of the first phase of the Al-Furat General Hospital rehabilitation project in Baghdad. This project is part of the government's service and engineering efforts aimed at developing healthcare infrastructure and improving medical services provided to citizens.
He emphasized that the work was executed with high precision and according to approved technical specifications, while fully adhering to the established timeline. He added that the project aligns with the state's vision to advance healthcare institutions and enhance their efficiency in providing comprehensive medical care.
Key Works In The First Phase Included:
1) Stores And Supplies: Complete rehabilitation of the drug and medical supply stores to improve storage and distribution efficiency.
2) Infrastructure: Construction of new manholes and implementation of a comprehensive sewage and drainage network.
3) Residential Facilities And Laboratories: Rehabilitation of doctors' and nurses' quarters, development of laboratory rooms and their associated sanitary facilities, and paving of walkways surrounding laboratories and wards.
4) Security Measures: Establishing a dedicated security checkpoint for women at the main emergency entrance to enhance security measures.
Al-Awad noted that Al-Fao Engineering Company continues its pivotal role in modernizing medical facilities in the provinces. Among its most prominent completed and ongoing projects are:
🔷 Completion of the Maternity and Children's Hospital and Qalat Saleh General Hospital in Maysan.
🔷 Development of the Central Children's Hospital and Abu Ghraib General Hospital in Baghdad.
🔷 Ongoing work on the Al-Nil District Hospital project in Babylon.
The Director General concluded by emphasizing the company's commitment to maintaining the same pace of work to complete the remaining projects, given their direct impact on supporting the national healthcare system and improving its services.
