Al-Fao General Engineering Company Organizes A Specialized Workshop On "Cyber Extortion"

On Monday, August 17, 2026, Al-Fao General Engineering Company, through its Media, Public Relations, and Citizen Affairs Section, in cooperation with the Planning and Follow-up/Training and Development Department, organized a specialized workshop entitled "Cyber Extortion". The workshop was held in coordination with the Public Relations and Media Department of the Ministry of Interior and was well-attended by company employees.

  Presented by: Colonel Abbas Nazim and Major Fawz Dawood, the workshop covered three main themes for protecting our digital space:

1-Detecting Methods: Raising awareness of the dangers of emerging cybercrimes and how to avoid falling victim to hackers.

2-Digital Shielding: Practical and applied steps to secure personal accounts and institutional files.

3-Legal Response: Explaining the proper security and legal mechanisms for reporting extortion cases with complete confidentiality and full guarantee of rights.
