(322) Concrete Piles Lay Foundation For New Medical Complex In Al-Nil District, Babil Governorate
Engineer Ya'rub Qahtan Al-Awad, Director General of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, announced the completion of excavation and pile-laying work for the "Al-Nil District Hospital" project in Babil Governorate. The project is being implemented for the Babil Health Department of the Ministry of Health.
Precise Engineering Details
Al-Awad explained that the completed phase included the installation of (322) piles, each (20) meters deep and (1) meter in diameter. He praised the efforts of the workers who continued their work with high precision despite the weather conditions and rainfall to ensure adherence to the project schedule.
Project Specifications And Departments
The hospital, built on an area of (8) dunams (approximately 1 acre) with a capacity of (50) beds, is designed to consist of (5) floors in addition to a basement. The medical complex includes:
🔹 Two doctors' offices and emergency wards.
🔹 Specialized departments including: an outpatient pharmacy, a sterilization unit, a laboratory, and radiology.
🔹 Fully equipped operating rooms (major, minor, delivery, and cesarean sections) with a state-of-the-art recovery room.
Advanced Medical Technology
The Director General confirmed that the project is being implemented according to the latest international engineering standards. It includes modern heating and cooling systems, medical gas systems, and fire suppression systems, as well as wastewater and medical waste treatment systems. The building will also be equipped with nine modern elevators.
Importance And Cost
The project cost is approximately (30) billion Iraqi dinars, with a completion period of (1,000) days. It is hoped that upon completion, the hospital will represent a significant leap forward in the level of medical services provided to the residents of Al-Nil district and the surrounding areas in Babil Governorate.
