Al-Baghdadi Water Project in Al-Anbar Governorate

GENERAL MANAGER OF AL-FAO GENERAL ENGINEERING COMPANY: THE COMPANY IS CONTINUING TO COMPLETETHE AL-BAGHDADI WATER PROJECT IN Al-ANBAR GOVERNORATE DURING THIS YEAR

Engineer Imad Muhammad Abdullah, Director General of the Al-Fao General Engineering Company, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, stated during the field visit on Sunday 12/3/2023 to the Al-Baghdadi Water Project in Al-Anbar Governorate, accompanied by Eng. Elham Rikan, Director of the Company's Projects Department.

The company in this project continues to work at a high pace in order to complete the project during this year, as it is one of the service projects included in the government curriculum. The General Manager briefed the field on all the project's facilities, where Eng. Younes Ahmed Shallal, the Director of Anbar Projects in the company gave him a detailed explanation of the project.The General Manager made some technical observations that speed up the completion process.

After that, a meeting was held at the project headquarters, attended by a number of executive cadres, and he listened to some of the problems and obstacles facing them, and he directed the need to overcome them and stressed the need for continuous cooperation and coordination between the project management and the resident engineer in order to overcome some complex routine episodes and for the sake of speedy completion of the project.

The Director General stated that His Excellency the Minister gives great attention and priority to water projects, as they are among the service projects that have direct contact with citizens, and that the company's management follows up these projects intensively and harnesses all its capabilities in order to complete them within the specified times and according to the required specifications.

The Director stated that the production capacity of the project amounts to (3000) meters / hour.

 

On the other hand, Engineer Younis Ahmed Shallal mentioned that this project consists of:

1) The intake station and the intake structure, located on the Euphrates River.

2) Three sedimentation basins.

3) Rapid mixing tanks.

4) Pure water pumping station.

5) Chemicals building.

6) Energy Building.

7) Residential homes for workers.

8) Information building, external fence, roads, squares and gardens.
