Mr. General Manager of Al-Fao General Engineering Company visits the building of the dormitories for female students in the Sacred Karbala governorate

Engineer Imad Muhammad Abdullah, General Manager of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, visited the project of the dormitories building for female students in the Sacred Karbala governorate, which the company is implementing for the benefit of the Sacred Karbala University.

He was briefed on the field on the progress of the ongoing work in this project, after that a meeting was held with the executive staff of the project, which was attended by Engineer Muhammad Al-Fatlawi, Director of the company’s projects in the governorate. His Excellency was briefed on the work paragraphs and heard from the workers about some of the problems and obstacles facing the process of progressing work on the project, including the delay in the payment of the company's dues and the complicated routine procedures that the beneficiary entity follows in disbursing those dues.

He stressed the need to hold a meeting with the university presidency in order to solve all the problems that delay work and the need for constructive coordination and cooperation between the project management and the resident engineer.

The Director General stated that the cost of the project amounts to more than (7) billion Iraqi dinars and the current completion rate is (67 %).

The building consists of three storey, the area of each storey is (3000) square meters, and these storey contain about (196) rooms, and each room can accommodate (4) people, and the building includes about (30) kitchens and (36) W.C. and bathroom distributed on the storey.

The ground storey contains a large library, restaurants, and a cafeteria. The building is equipped with (4) generators with a capacity of (360) kva, and equipped with a system of (2) solar cells, monitoring systems, satellite, alarm system and Fire system.
