His Excellency the Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, Mr. Benkin Rikani, inaugurated the Al-Dujail Water Project in Salah al-Din Governorate, in the presence of Engineer Imad Tawfiq Al Mirza, Director General of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, and the Director General of the General Directorate of Water.
During the speech he delivered at the opening ceremony, the Minister praised the efforts of its employees and stated that the services government pledged to make the service file a top priority, and expressed his joy at delivering safe drinking water to the people of the district.
On the other hand, the Director General of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, the implementing agency of the project, confirmed that this project is the first project to be opened within the government program for the year 2023, with a production capacity of (4000) meters/hour and it was completed in less than the contractual period and in accordance with the latest international specifications and with Iraqi hands (100%).
His lordship stated that the project consists of low and high thrust buildings, four sedimentation basins, a backwash basin, a ground tank, a building for filters and chemicals, workshops, energy and administration, along with a network of lines transporting pure water with a length of (50) kilometers.
