Director General of Al-Fao Company: Work Continues on the Decent Housing Units Project in Babylon Governorate

Engineering and technical teams at Al-Fao General Engineering Company—an entity under the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities—are continuing execution work on the residential complex project in Babylon Governorate. The project comprises 480 fully serviced housing units.

Project Details:

🔹 Complex Components : The project includes ancillary service buildings—such as schools, a kindergarten, a nursery, commercial markets, and a mosque—along with integrated sewage networks and an advanced treatment plant.

🔹 Phase Two: Fully completed, comprising 180 housing units.

🔹 Phase One : Work is currently proceeding at an accelerated pace on 300 housing units, with a completion rate of 94% achieved so far. Current activities focus on finishing works, painting, the installation of wooden and metal doors and railings, as well as electrical and plumbing installations.

These efforts align with the company’s ongoing housing sector strategy; management confirmed that work is simultaneously underway on three other residential complexes in the governorates of Diyala, Wasit, and Holy Karbala, aiming to support the housing sector and provide a decent, dignified living environment for citizens.
