Al-Fao General Engineering Company Organizes an Awareness Workshop on Early Detection of Breast Cancer
As part of efforts to promote health awareness and support the well-being of Iraqi women, the Public Relations and Media Division—specifically the Women’s Empowerment Unit—in coordination with the Planning and Follow-up Department (Training and Development Section) at Al-Fao General Engineering Company, organized a specialized awareness workshop on the early detection of breast cancer. The workshop was held in collaboration with medical professionals from the ministry-affiliated health center.
The session took place in the company’s central hall, in line with the implementation of the National Strategic Plan for Iraqi Women. Its objective was to raise health awareness and foster a culture of prevention and early detection, thereby helping to mitigate the risks of the disease and improve the prospects for successful treatment and recovery.
The workshop covered three key areas:
🔵Prevention focus:: Highlighting the importance of regular screenings for the early detection of breast cancer, and their role in improving treatment outcomes and increasing recovery rates.
🔵 Educational focus: Identifying early signs and symptoms, and explaining how to perform breast self-examinations according to medical guidelines—empowering women to recognize health changes and seek professional medical advice when necessary.
🔵 Consultative focus: Providing medical guidance and recommendations, with the specialized medical team addressing questions from the participants.
This initiative reflects Al-Fao General Engineering Company’s commitment to supporting national programs aimed at empowering Iraqi women, promoting health and safety among its workforce, and enhancing health awareness and preventive practices within the corporate environment.
