Al-Fao Engineering Rehabilitates Baghdad Model College While Preserving Its Architectural Identity
The Director General of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities, announced that the company's engineering and technical staff are continuing (Rehabilitation Work At The Baghdad Model College For Boys), as part of the government's service and engineering efforts.
He emphasized that the work is being carried out according to approved technical specifications and established timelines, ensuring a safe and stable educational environment for the students.
✳️ Current Rehabilitation Work Includes
1. Physics Laboratory
Removing and completely replacing the old tile flooring, concrete slabs, and damaged wall ceramics with modern materials. Approximately (400) square meters of tile flooring are also being rehabilitated according to occupational safety standards.
2. Preserving The Architectural Identity
Removing the old, damaged facades that were on the verge of collapse and replacing them with new, identical materials to preserve the building's distinctive architectural character.
3. Main Courtyard
Rehabilitation work is underway in the main courtyard following the removal of the damaged concrete slab. The current phase includes laying the sub-base layer, constructing drainage ditches, and installing curbstones.
4. Back Courtyard
The back courtyard is being developed by laying a tartan sports surface, installing a comprehensive stormwater drainage network, and raising the school's perimeter fence to ensure a safe and organized school environment.
The company stated that it has dedicated all its technical and engineering capabilities to completing the project to the highest standards, in compliance with central government directives aimed at supporting the school building sector and providing a model educational environment befitting our students.
