Director General Of Al-Fao Company: Construction And Technical Work Continues To Secure Potable Water For Eastern Anbar
Engineer Ya'rub Qahtan Al-Awad, Director General of Al-Fao General Engineering Company (a division of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities), announced the continued work of the technical and engineering staff on the Al-Husaiba Al-Sharqiya Central Water Project in Anbar Governorate, for the benefit of the General Directorate of Water.
Progress Of Construction And Technical Work:
The Director General explained that the current work on the site includes pouring concrete for the bridges and brickwork for the silt basin building, along with the ongoing reinforcement and installation of steel formwork for the filter walls and the rapid mixing and sedimentation basins. The work also includes aesthetic and service aspects such as cladding the outer fence with stone and completing the ceramic tile tiling of the interior walls of the workers' quarters.
Production Capacity And Strategic Importance:
Al-Awad indicated that the project was designed with a production capacity of up to (2,000) cubic meters per hour, with the aim of meeting the drinking water needs of the residents of eastern Anbar and developing the infrastructure in the governorate.
Project Components:
The Project Consists Of Two Main Units:
1. Main Site (Treatment Plant): This includes (3) sedimentation basins, (10) filters, an underground storage tank, chemical buildings, a high-pressure pumping station, a power plant, a workshop, and staff housing.
2. Intake Station: This includes low-pressure pumping and power plants, along with (4) pipelines extending over a length of (25) kilometers.
