Al-Fao General Engineering Company Begins 2026 With An Ambitious Vision To Enhance Achievements And Expand Investment Partnerships

📘 Engineer Ya'rub Qahtan Al-Awad, General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, chaired the first Board meeting of the year on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, to discuss the company's strategic plans and project implementation status.

📘 The Chairman opened the meeting by welcoming the members and reviewing the company's impressive track record of achievements in 2025, during which it successfully completed (33) vital projects. Al-Awad commended the exceptional efforts made by the management regarding stalled projects, emphasizing the company's success in reviving them and transforming them into promising opportunities. He also highlighted the company's strategic partnership agreements with reputable companies and investors to strengthen its position in the engineering market.

🔷 Year Of Sustainable Achievement 2026

During the session, the Director General emphasized the need for 2026 to be a continuation of the company's achievements, urging all staff to redouble their efforts and maintain the gains already made. In a related matter, the Board commended the completion of four high-quality projects during the first month of this year, considering this a positive indicator of performance efficiency.

🔷 Executive Follow-Up And Decisive Decisions

The Board discussed its agenda, which included a detailed review of the status of ongoing projects in Baghdad and the provinces. Decisive decisions were made to ensure the smooth flow of implementation. The Board also directed the following:

🔹Financial Collection: Diligent follow-up to recover the company's outstanding financial dues from employers to enhance financial solvency.

🔹Financial Discipline: Strict adherence to Cabinet Resolution No. (11) of 2026 concerning rationalizing and reducing expenditures in the public interest.

🔹Field Follow-Up: The Board reviewed the field visits conducted by the Director General, the Deputy Director General, and senior company staff to assess the work progress and ensure the continued quality of execution and adherence to established timelines.

📘 The Board concluded its session with a comprehensive review of administrative, financial, oversight, and legal matters, adopting a series of legal and administrative measures aimed at improving the work environment and maximizing the company's resources to support the country's reconstruction efforts.
